Director of Adult, Family & Community Learning
Dr. Kenya Taylor serves as Director of Adult, Family & Community Learning for The Elimu Initiative, where she leads initiatives that strengthen family engagement, adult education, and community-centered learning across generations.
A mission-driven educational and community leader with more than 30 years of experience, Dr. Taylor has advanced equity, student success, and community engagement across education, public service, healthcare, and faith-based sectors. Her work centers on developing inclusive, purpose-driven programs that empower families, support lifelong learners, and cultivate strong, responsive partnerships rooted in community needs.
An Atlanta native, Dr. Taylor brings extensive experience working alongside families, educators, and organizational leaders to improve access, engagement, and holistic support for learners. Her professional strengths include strategic planning, project management, family engagement, and organizational leadership.
An ordained Baptist minister, Dr. Taylor’s leadership is grounded in faith, service, and a deep commitment to community empowerment and intergenerational learning.
