Director of Middle Grades Learning & Black Cultural Education (6–8)

Brandon Kilpatrick serves as Director of Middle Grades Learning & Black Cultural Education (Grades 6–8) for The Elimu Initiative, supporting culturally grounded instruction and developmentally responsive learning for middle school students.

A fifth-year middle school social studies teacher, Brandon brings classroom experience and a strong understanding of adolescent learning, identity development, and instructional practice. Their work centers on supporting students during the critical middle grades years through engaging, affirming, and academically sound learning experiences.

Brandon holds academic training in psychology and middle level education, which informs his approach to teaching and leadership that is attentive to student development, critical thinking, and cultural awareness.
